From the Winter of 1976 and for most of 1977,Lulu had the same hairstyle.It was short with a parting on her right; I especially love the way it flicks up at the sides.By the time we get to November 1977,things change.On the 17th of November,dancing to ELO's 'Turn To Stone',Lulu has a new hairstyle.But,for now let's celebrate Lulu's first fab hairstyle.

From November 1977 into 1978,Lulu had a new hairstyle.It was a bit longer and thicker,but the main difference was that she now has a fringe.

By January 1978,Lulu's hair is slighly trimmed all over,and there is a rounder look to it,as seen in 'Uptown Top Ranking'.

Throughout 1978 Lulu keeps her curly hairstyle,now with a centre parting.Here is a picture from Sylvester's 'Feel Mighty Real' in September.In December,dancing to 'Too Much Heaven',Lulu just clips her hair back over her left ear to give a nice affect.

Throughout1979 Lulu keeps her curly hair-do,but there are some dances for which she does different things with it.This is from 'Heart Of Glass' February 1979.

For Abba's Chiquitita in February all the dancers have their hair up with a bun at the back.I think Lulu looks stunning with her hair like this.She has a similar look for Chic's 'I Want Your Love' in March.

For one of my favourite dances,'Sunday Girl' in May,Lulu a has curly fringe,and the rest of her hair is pulled back and up with a tail on top.I love her hair like this too.Also in May Lulu shows off her lovely curls in 'Hot Stuff'.In June,dancing to 'Cavatina',Lulu wears a headscarf,with her fringe and hair at the back visible.

For 'After The Love Is Gone' in August,Lulu clips her hair back over her right ear.In this picture you can see just how lovely her curly hair is by this point.

For Herb Albert's 'Rise' in November,Lulu has a lovely curly fringe,with the rest tied up at the back,held in place by rings in quite an elaborate way.

'Off The Wall' in December sees Lulu with her hair scraped back,just leaving a wispy fringe over her left eye,with a big,bushy tail at the back.

Lulu's basic hairstyle throughout 1980 is the same curly style she had the previous year,except it gets longer,several inches over her shoulders.And at times she does various things with it.She starts having a centre parting which keeps her hair off her face.Here is Lulu in 'Green Onions' in January.There is some fine dancing and nifty foot-work in this one.

Also in March,here is Lulu dancing to 'Stomp'.All her hair is on her left side,having been combed over and covered by a hat.She did the same thing with her hair in January to 'Please Don't Go',though she had flowers in her hair for that one.

Lulu has her hair in several braids on each side with little beads in them,the back of her hair is curly as usual.Here she is dancing in September to 'It's Still Rock And Roll To Me'.

Lulu has her hair held tight in place behind her right ear,parted on the right and combed over to the left,leaving the back and left side a mass of curls,the same style as with 'After The Love Has Gone'.I think she looks great with this style.Here she is in a great dance to 'Fashion' in October.

What an amazing collection of pics of our favourite dancer!

For me, I like the early flicked out style, and the later curly long style as seen on 'Don't Walk Away'.

Having said that, she looks stunning whatever hairstyle - even with a Sinead O'Connor buzzcut Lulu would look beautiful!

Lulu's hair-style during Legs & Co's final year on TOTP is the same as in 1980,long and curly with a parting on her right.Here she in 'Lonely Together' in January 1981.As she did many times before,she simply clips her hair back over her right ear to give a beautiful affect.

Here is Lulu dancing to 'Ai No Corrida' in April,and to 'Stars On 45' in May.The only difference with her hair is that she hasn't clipped it back over her ear.
