Hi Michael,

I would also love to know what Andie is doing these days, I think she was lovely and I feel she gets overlooked just like Mary & Lee, they all did a wonderful job in Pans People.

I think Andie was amazing in the promo film/video for Sugar me.

Andie, if you ever get to see this, I would like you to know you are not forgotten and you were a gorgeous member of Pans People.

You are a great favourite of mine, I think you looked amazing in the promo film for Sugar Me....or Lime In The Coconut...Im not sure which was the true song the film was made for, but I prefure Sugar Me.

I bet you are amazed by how much people still remember and love Pans People, you may of left in 1972, but you are remembered with love and respect, thanks for all your great work and just one other little thing..........

Trying to download a recent pic of andrea but its telling me its 'to big' more than 2mb.....they are only about 2.2mb. any ideas anyone?its only a normal pic!

I haven't crossed paths with Michael (first poster) yet but am curious to know what the "one clip" with Sue was. There are 329 to choose from!

No such luck with Andrea's legacy, sadly, and this partly explains her seeming a distant figure compared to the others in Pan's People, apart from Lee Ward. I think all the group's fans would love to go back in time and have the chance to save all their performances. There's more hope for shows from Lee's era and, indeed, discoveries have been made recently.

Very depressed about the archive status for Andrea's time (1968-72), disturbed by her appearing to look exhausted during the Green River rehearsal, and continually frustrated by the picture quality of online videos for that routine and the two Laura Nyro songs, Wedding Bell Blues and Stoney End.

FROM PAN'S PEOPLE Andrea Rutherford has now formed her own group of Dancers SISTER-MATIC. Four very talented and attractive girls, which, combined with Andy's unique modern style of choreography, adds up to a very successful visual approach

Andrea comes from a musical family, her mother was a Dancer and her father is a Pianist. She started dancing at the age of four - at ten she won a Scholarship to the Royal Academy of Dancing and, in addition, studied all forms of Dancing, Singing and Drama, at the Arts Educational Theatrical School.

No stranger to the T.V. screen, Andrea Rutherford was with Pan's People for over five years, and with them appeared on their resident spot on B.B.C. l's TOP OF THE POPS and also made many appearances on the Lulu, Bobbie Gentry, Frankie Howard, Alan Price, Georgie Fame and Cliff Richard shows, as well as Cabaret and T.V. shows in Belgium, Germany and Holland.

A brief rundown on the rest of the girls:-

MARTA GILLIOT

Dark, vivacious, she trained to Advanced*R.A.D. standard, and also trainee intensively at the Rambert School of Ballet where she gained a Diploma in Classical Contemporary, Character, Pas de Deux and choreographic improvisation.

CAROL RHODES

The baby of the group and a brunette, trained to Advanced R.A.D. standard, she has appeared at the London Palladium in Pantomime and Summer shows, in the B.B.C. Television Panto 'Dick Whittington' and in the film 'Flame'.

DEE RUTHERFORD

Apart from being Andrea's sister, Dee is trained to Advanced R,A.D. standard, has also trained at the Royal Ballet School and worked with Rudolph Nureyev. She is the musical member of the group and has Diploma for playing the Piano as well as being a songwriter. Dee has also appeared on TOP OF THE POPS in some of the films of a lone dancer dancing to a hit record and has been involved in modelling.

This poor quality scan is all I've found to represent Andrea's special day. A cropped version was posted at One for the Dads so this is your chance to see the full picture. It looks so terrible that you may find it as difficult as I have to recognise the others.

My first impression was that the girl with the hat was Babs, but lightening and zooming in on the image made me believe this is actually Flick. Just behind her is Dee Dee, then an obscured Babs and Louise on the right. Agreed?:

Was the honeymoon after the Top of the Pops edition where she danced to Jeepster (30th December)?

Awhile ago...(how quick the years pass now- noticed ?!  )..when Dee Dee had set up her own website, I had a reply -I know like several others at the time also; to a message I left on that site, guestbook page messages.

In that, and as I am now in Australia, one thing Dee Dee mentioned (if I recollect correctly) was that Andi was here in Oz too. (I dont know if she still is)
