Thanks so much for these accounts F14. I'm sure we all have moments and events we wish we had captured on film in our pasts but rarely this big, If you're ever cleaning up your attic give us all a call!
Let me add my belated thanks for your recollections, Peter, lest you think I'm ignoring you! I'm just catching up with some of the posts now....
Who would that thought all those years ago, we'd be connecting here today and remembering. Some of us were mere viewers in our lounges, others were friends and relatives, others still were too young to have watched them first time round. And as time remorselessly marches on, the onus is on us all now to maximise the opportunity to archive for posterity all we can about the dancers who enriched all our lives so much.
Yes, I think we did Flick proud today. But maybe we should have kept the Golden Earring back for today too! :)
We'll give you a year to find your photos, Peter, or we'll send the boys round to take apart your house to get them!!
Reminds me I hated the annualy compulsory (country) dancing at school. Just think what a way it would have been to encourage reticent teenage boys into the world of dance, by having Legs & Co on school tours!
Thanks for the info glenn,
my 12 year old daughter goes to a drama and dance school
near my home in bolton, not that i have been a pushy parent
and pushed her down that path.
I think I would agree with that analysis. When Pans were still an eightsome one of their routines on Lulu's show saw them divided into the dark and the light teams dancing to "Mr Sippi" with Ruth, Louise, Dee Dee and one of the lads as the dark team wearing black or dark outfits while the second lad, together with Andrea, Babs and Flick. played the light team in white or light coloured costumes.
Flick and Flight14
This is a great story, F14.
You're very lucky to have met Flick (and the other dancers too). If only you'd had foresight and taken a camera with you on those occasions!!!.
But it's great to know that one of us has met the lovely lady. Today must bring back some special memories for you.
I would like to say *AN-tastic but it has become your trademark so I daren't use it in fear of being served with a lawsuit. LOL!
Flight14 meeting Flick
Wonderful story
a momentary peak into Flick and RF, gathering to party, you are one lucky man.
once L&C were formed did you get to meet Rosie and Pauline.
Having seen Flick for the first time on TV last year after the tragic news, i found some
interviews to watch, and what a lovely person she was,is there absolutely no chance of
find that roll of film.
P.S. i did not know Patti is your sister (OMG!!)
Soooo Jealous, i hope she is happy and well.
Much Appreciated F14

I always think that Flick went blonde so the girls would be 3 blonde and 3 dark with DeeDees hair being darker in early days
