Haven't seen this before, can't think why. Judging from the broadcast date, this may have been either Floid's first appearance or one of his first.
This week I'm sure I saw Floid dancing with Sue in Legs & Co's I Feel Love on TOTP, BBC4. Did I spot correctly? Can't think if he pops up again later in 1977 or 1978.
I haven't been around much lately - I was on British television, ITV4, can you believe it?
My son and I watched the cycling Tour of Britain and you could see us at the side of the road cheering during one of the mountain climbs. Those cyclists are even smaller in real life than they look on the television. And you can hear them changing gear.
It Appears That Floids last appearance on Top of the Pops was 25th May 1978 in which he made an appearance on "Lets Go Disco" and "You're The One That I Want"
Yes I spotted him in the last show dancing with Sue he must have been in the studio that day I will amend the 1977 routine List he made about 3 appearances in 77 that we can see.
Thanks all, helps to know that this very good dancer was still much valued and used right through 1977 and 1978, perhaps his last non-festive season appearance was in the Sylvester song (the video was just posted this week).
Always felt sorry for those dancers that couldn't or didn't carry on when perhaps they would have liked to. Unfortunately the BBC didn't want a team with a permanent male presence back in those days. I think that Floyd was a naturally very good dancer and the girls seem so relaxed with him that he is probably a great guy too.
Guess that in the arts world rejection is part of the profession and that people got used to it. But at the age of 17 or 18 that can't have been so easy.

Floid omission
With thanks to Ryan for pointing out this omission from our Ruby Flipper routines list.
First and last sight of Floid?
