It certainley looks like a good day for pop music fans with the line up of shows that they have planned ,amongst other things the 22/11/73 edition of totp that has been recentley found featuring pans dancing to keep on truckin ,is gonna be broadcast ,as well as the 18/11/71 edition featuring pans dancing to lets see action ,also an edition of totp that wasnt broadcast from 1980 ,ive got a feeling it might be from the summer of that year when the bbc strike hit totp ,as there is a full routine of legs and co on this show legs warmers as well ,i think this might be the full routine of use it up and wear it out ,done by the girls ,a small snippet only ever appeared on the show during the chart rundown as the song was aleready dropping down the charts when the show returned to the screens in aug 80 ,but this is only a guess by me that it might be that routine ,and also at the kaleidescope event ,that is very good news for me is a 1972 edition of lift off with ayshea that has recentley turned up ,apart from all this some rare pop clips and other shows are on the menu for that day ,so by the looks of it ,it looks like an event well worth attending

This sounds great Jez and to see a complete new Legs routine would be fantastic.  The snippets of the Ladies dancing to Use It Up would seem to make that a worthy addition to their volume of work and it does fit the bill but we'll just have to wait and see I suppose.  Kudos once again to those devoted folk at Kaleidoscope for all their work.

Thank you for posting this Jez.

Sadly I'm too far away to be able to pop along to these, and missed the pp related one in 2010? Mojo had a broken ankle then and missed it too , which was a shame!

Thanks for the info on this event.

Is this different footage from the 10/7/80 insert?;

Who was to present 10/7/80?

Someone must have been billed for the edition, even though it wasn't shown, for there to have been a dance routine.

Here's the 7/8/80 dance routine of Odyssey from Legs & Co:

All the footage in that clip, which I think is complied from the two short snippets of "Use It Up...." shown on the 07/08/80 and 14/08/80, comes from the complete routine introduced by BAR and PP which would have gone out on 10/07/80 but for the industrial action.  This dance did not feature Sue.

Hi Suefan

This is great news. :)

A bit of luck that this was recorded, given the industrial action.

I'm also interested to see that what must be Paul McCartney's Waterfalls, Olivia Newton-John's Magic and Darts' Peaches were on a TOTP edition, 28/8/80, I believe (but not the broadcasted version), scheduled to be shown but omitted.

It's amazing what keeps turning up. :)
