Its not Panfan its Pattifan here (although honoured)

she has always been my favourite since i saw L&C about 79/80

i dont remember as a child Pans People or Ruby Flipper,but i am catching up now

thanks to this wonderful site.

I have just seen Patti in the Jazz Carnival video, brilliant Bird Of Paradise, i dont know if you have

seen it but do you know what happend to Kid Jenson, as it sounds as if he has fallen off the stage.

Thought that this was a really brave solo piece from Patti, there was no hiding place, and the song was way way from another era.

My daughter was very impressed with the split-screen hitch hiking thumb and stars under Patti's eye. Little girl has drawn a picture of the dance: I'll post this in a couple of months (am trying to post a new picture each month). When the kids' drawings run out I'll have to incorporate my own art. Oh no.

is this editable? also is there a limit on video uploads.

I'll sort it out for you tomorrow evening. When you upload an image, it needs to be resized beforehand (600 pixels width for this column). If you embed, there are additional options to rescale it.

I think you can upload 3 images per post, up to 2MB each.

Thanks PattiFan the ladies do indeed look lovely in this album-cover shot.  I do get a tinge of regret from it though, as it reminds me that Patti was absent from the Slowhand routine on TOTP whence come these great outfits.  Fantastic that this album cover allowed us another look though and I agree it is classic 80s

This must have been a very tough one to film, the kids and I spotted the following (did you?):

* when the dancers circle Patti as she holds the wicker confetti bowl, she gets badly bumped on her right shoulder, I think by Floid. On the next "circuit" you see Patti nod almost imperceptibly, as if she had been asked "sorry, are you OK?" by the other dancer

* at one point camera is on Patti, a very dry-mouthed Lulu waits behind until she is seemingly out of view to moisten her lips with a very thirsty tongue, searing midday heat (almost no shadow) in a sunken London garden mid-July 1976, must have been almost 40 degrees out of the shade. Oh the poor fair-skinned girl, she was over-heating!

* Paul Nicholas's big brother Gavin lies back and nearly cracks his head on a plant pot, only for his bouffant blond curls to absorb the impact and save the day

Conclusion - done in one take to prevent dehydration. All agreed back in the studio next week, Tony Blackburn won't be back for another month

Was the panning shot done with a hand-held camera?

As the excellent photos are slightly blurred, I can't work out what Patti is wearing.

Is she wearing PVC? 

I love experimenting with different looks including PVC.  Whatever she's wearing, it looks cool and what a great song to dance to, by the brilliant Blondie. :)
