Pan's People Diary - 1970
The Chronology section has a list of the more significant events but I think it's worth making a note of all known activities between 1966 and 1976, based on the information I've found and sometimes added to threads like Personal Appearances, Miscellaneous Appearances and the group's 'Top of the Pops' routines.
I also want to include links to any newspaper and magazine articles we have here and at least one photograph for each month. Hopefully, we can add more details than the few I've accumulated.
The Beatles are important enough to have an almost daily account of everything they did in the 1960s. It would be wonderful to learn the various appearances Pan's People made throughout their career were similarly documented. Did publicist Philip Day keep a record, or any of the dancers?
I certainly hope so because they deserve as much credit as The Beatles for their efforts. I think most of the Top of the Pops dates are accounted for but it's proved very difficult to fill the gaps inbetween those appearances. A few Foreign shows and vague memories of the years they visited places ranging from Leeds and Coventry to Austria and Mombassa. Will we ever find out?
Let's see how it goes with 1970 ...

Only Wedding Bell Blues was a Pans performance on this date, as Time was a live performance in the studio with Edwin Starr, Orchestra and backing singers.
A day-to-day Pan's People
A day-to-day Pan's People Diary would be a brilliant idea,cornershop15.I couldn't agree more.It would be very hard work but P P are worth it!!.As you say The Beatles have a day-to-day chronology of events from 1962-1970.Pan's People were the dance equivalent of The Beatles & their chronology would be 1966-1976 almost exactly 10 years.Would you include personal appearances, press releases, publicity photos,tv appearances, even what country they were in that week etc.
Diary
Well done, Cornershop! Let's hope we can fill in as many dates as we can. We can add a link in from the Chronology for these detailed diaries.
January 1970
February 1970
This is great, we'll have to
This is great, we'll have to create a diary aspect of the main menu chronology.
